Total inactivity fees could be as high as $240 per year ($360 for accounts with balances less than $2,000).

Lightspeed Trading

Lightspeed Trading is similar to Interactive Brokers but not as good in many ways. It offers a bunch of platforms with different and confusing pricing plans attached to each of them. The cheapest platform's cost is $0.0045 per share with $1 minimum. Minimum monthly commission for accounts under $5,000 is $25, otherwise $25 will be charged per month.

TradeStation

TradeStation rating

TradeStation offers one of the lowest commissions among discount online brokers: it charges just $0.01 per share for the first 500 shares, $0.006 per share thereafter, with $1 minimum per trade. With that rate all stock trades of up to 100 shares will cost you just $1!
