Treasury Funds at Robinhood

It’s easy to find exchange-traded funds on the Robinhood platform (the broker-dealer doesn’t offer any mutual funds). On the website, click on the Robinhood logo in the upper-left corner of the site. Next, scroll down to the Trending Lists section. This is an area that shows categories of stocks and ETFs that are new or popular at Robinhood. In this section, there’s usually a button for bond ETFs. Click on this link.

Can You Buy treasury on robinhood?

Now you’ll have a list of fixed-income funds. It can be filtered by a variety of tags, such as market cap, current price, and analyst ratings. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to filter by bond type, such as corporate or Treasury. So you’ll need to browse through the results to find products that invest in Treasury assets.

During our investigation, we found the following Treasury ETFs:

- iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond Fund (TLT)
- WisdomTree Floating Rate Treasury Fund (USFR)
- SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill Fund (BIL)
- Schwab US TIPS Fund (SCHP)

This category or any other can be added to a watchlist. Simply click on the Follow button that appears at the top of the list.

Robinhood’s mobile app doesn’t have the Trending Lists section, and neither the website nor the mobile app has a security screener. So the Trending Lists section on the website is highly recommended. If you already know the ticker symbol of a Treasury ETF, you can enter it on either platform to pull up its profile.

Treasury ETF Profiles

Every ETF on Robinhood’s mobile app or website will have a profile. The amount of information on this may vary somewhat by how popular the ETF is. The profile can be accessed by clicking on the fund’s title in the list of bond ETFs we have already seen. It’s also possible to enter the ticker symbol or fund name in the search bar that appears at the top of the website and mobile app.

For the SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month Treasury Bill ETF (with ticker symbol BIL), we found the following information:

- Number of holdings (19)
- Index tracked (BBgBarc US Treasury Bill 1-3 Mon TR USD)
- Percentage of government bonds (98.5%)
- Average volume (6.4 million)
- Expense ratio (0.14%)

The top 10 holdings of BIL are shown on Robinhood’s profile. They are all Treasury bills.
